The organising committee is excited to confirm the topics for the Advanced Trainee weekend. Our conference keynote speakers Prof Cathie Sherrington and Prof Andy Clegg's sessions will include an interactive session on exercise setting and the use of AI in older adults. We have a range of other topics by local specialists including palliative care, diabetes, advanced trainee project writing, ophthalmology and getting the balance right with investigations. This is a fantastic opportunity for Advanced Trainees to connect with peers from across Australia and New Zealand.

Geriatric Care Australia (GCA) is a national organisation of geriatricians and care coordinators who are passionate about improving access to care for older people. GCA geriatricians provide clinical reviews and education services across aged care facilities, retirement villages, medical clinics, and hospitals, both in-person and via Telehealth.
At GCA we support the career development of geriatricians, including Advanced Trainees. We achieve this through ongoing CPD sessions, committee participation opportunities, involvement in innovative care models funded by government and non-government partners, and exciting research projects.
